st: ASCII symbol in grahp label?

I'd like to put in a plot title  "Dietary  alfa-carotene" , but alfa in greek symbol, is this possible?

I try to use ALT+224 , ALT+...., but unfortunately the result don't like me  --> ALT+224= �
