I have a question about how to create a summated index. When I use the
help option, nothing comes up. I googled stata summated index and it
returned a command called optifact; however, when I entered the term in
the help box, nothing was returned. Please help. Example syntx would be
greatly apprecieated.
The summated index will be created from five items; each item has the
same four response categories.
