Hello all,

I was puzzled by one annoying thing of my computer and I don't know whether I should fault Stata or my computer.

Basically, I am running computational intensive Monte Carlo simulations on Stata under Windows XP on a brand new Dell Inspiration laptop. Somehow my Task Manager shows that the computer is using 50% of its CPU usage on this computer. It is weird because the same program always use 100% of the CPU on my old machine.

I suspect it is the problem of my computer rather than my Stata, though I am not 100% sure. Anyone has any ideas to release the remaining 50% CPU power of my computer? I really appreciate your help!

Best,
Simon
