I have one (only one) wish for Stata:
the ability to specify interaction terms in a model
without actually generating a new variable. I realize
"xi" accomplishes this with categorical variables, but
it is not sufficient for many situations especially
with continuous interaction terms. Also, the ability
to exclude main effects or specify main effects
would be very useful, again without generating
additional variables. "desmat" does have this
flexibility, but it would be preferable if this were
part of the main Stata package.
