All,

Recently, I've been experiencing difficulties with using -ssc- to
-replace- packages already installed onto my Stata. It used to work
before, but now it isn't. An example:

. ssc inst catplot, replace
checking catplot consistency and verifying not already installed...

the following files will be replaced:
    c:\ado\plus\c\catplot.ado
    c:\ado\plus\c\catplot.hlp

installing into c:\ado\plus\...
file c:\ado\plus\c\catplot.ado already exists
r(602);

It may (or may not) have something to do with the fact that I've been
forced to uninstall, then re-install, my Stata in recent months, before
which -ssc inst <package>, replace- worked. Installing new packages from
-ssc- is working fine.
