Also, if it is machine-specific, and you have access to more than one 
machine...Remember that you can copy c:\ado from one machine onto 
another.  That is handy anyway if you want to keep your machines in sync.

Also, weird problems like this might be worth an uninstall and reinstall of 
Stata, just in case something has gotten corrupted somewhere.
