Dear StataCorp and StataList,
I have a wish (one of the many):
Add a -help [, version()]- option.
By default -, version()- could imply that the help file is to be located on
the StataCorp website.
The reason for this wish is that I am familiar only with the Stata8 syntax
(and a bit of Stata7) but when I read other people's ados it is not
infrequent to see syntaxes for Stata6 or even earlier. I have a very hard
time puzzling out what older syntaxes mean (of course reading other people's
ado can be very difficult regardless).
