Dear list,
I'm running Intercooled STATA 8 on Windows 98 SE. My problem: the file-open
command from the "File" menu ignores the setting for the working directory,
as specified in the "start-in" box in the properties dialog of the STATA
icon. Although the working directory is correctly shown in the bar at the
bottom of STATA, the file-open dialog will start in the C:\mydata directory,
regardeless of the working directory. Is there a way to change that?

Thanks a lot,
Alex Gamma
