Thanks to Kit Baum, an -rvpplot2- program has been added to 
SSC. 
-rvpplot2- gives a residual-versus-predictor plot 
after a regression-type command. 
It is a generalisation of official Stata's 
-rvpplot-, except for different defaults for the 
-l1title()- option. 
-rvpplot2- works after more commands than -rvpplot-. 
Several residual types are supported and residuals 
may be shown on any specified transformed scale, 
such as square, to show relative contribution to residual 
variance; absolute value, to set aside sign; root of 
absolute value, a useful scale on which to check for 
heteroscedasticity. 
Stata 7 is required. 
To install, type 
. ssc inst rvpplot2 
in an up-to-date Stata.
