Hi everybody. I thought this announcement might be of interest to the list. Scott Long is the author or co-author of the popular spost9 package of routines and of two books published by Stata Press: and I understand he is working on a new edition of his categorical data analysis book and that one of the workshops will talk about the new commands that are being developed for it.

There are two workshops by Scott Long this summer that use Stata.

ICPSR Summer Program Workshop on The Workflow of Data Analysis using Stata: June 17-21 at the Center for Research on Families at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

ICPSR Summer Program Workshop on Models for Categorical Outcomes Using Stata: July 8-12 at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. This workshop focus on using Stata along with new SPost commands for using margins.

For questions, feel free to contact Scott Long (, check his web page, or the ICPSR site
