Probably this is no news to most of you, but there is an webpage from Stata Corp.
that gives a lot of information in Stata MP:

There you can find the "Stata/MP Performance Report" which is a nice reference to
look up the speed increase for nearly every Stata command.
At work we've got a Unix Server with 16 processors. But most of the time I use just
one of them. But for some tasks it's nice to use all 16.
