Greetings

I am using the most up to date Stata 11 with Windows/XP and have noticed an odd behavior in the do-file editor. When I copy text into the clipboard, it changes the "find string" to match the text copied to the clipboard. Here is an example sequence of steps....

  1) Open a file in the do-file editor.
2) Press ctrl-f and in the search box search for a text string (e.g., "describe") that appears multiple times in the file. 3) Close the dialog box, and use the F3 button to "find again" to find the next instance of the string. 4) Select some text (e.g., "fred") and copy it to the clipboard via ctrl-c.
  5) Press F3 to "find next" instance of "describe"
WHOOPS! it now searches for "fred" instead of "describe".

Does this happen for other folks? Is this proper behavior?

Thanks,
