Xp x64 runs stata 10mp 64-bit no problem

I run 64bit Stata on 64bit XP, and haven't had any issues;
the machine has 16GB Ram and I have used datasets larger than
10gb with no problem.

But you will need 64bit XP (or Vista). Some XP-32 applications
don't run, but the important ones do.
