st: SMCL horizontal line in -estout-

I really appreciate that -style(smcl)- is now available for - estout-, and that it is the default for -esta-. However, I've noticed that using @hline in the -postfoot()- option still produces a line of dashes as the default, which looks out of place. If I include the option -hlinechar({hline})-, then I do get a SMCL-style line -- but unlike the rest of the horizontal lines drawn by -estout- or -esta-, it runs the full length of the Results window instead of the table width. I also tried specifying -hlinechar({hline @width})-, but that doesn't draw the horizontal line at all. Same with -hlinechar({hline{@width}})- and similar variations. Is there an alternative syntax I am missing?

Please note that I am looking for a cross-platform solution; the suggestion to use -hlinechar(`=char(151)')- does not satisfy that criterion. Thanks for suggestions.
