The extraneous
crud clutters up and lengthens the messages and makes the archives less
usable by those seeking help.
My apologies for violating another rule of the list with this posting: Thou
Shalt Indicate the Subject in the Subject Line. That too is important for
those who want to find something in the list archives. Since I read
Statalist-Digest and not individual Statalist messages, 'reply to' picks up
the digest header, not the individual message header. Nevertheless, I like
the digest very much.
