No problem browsing or installing from here (you can even browse the
directory from a web-browser, so everything at that end is up and
running fine).
Perhaps you have a proxy server in place, or a firewall thats
preventing the port Stata is trying to use to connect?
Check with your sysadmin to see if there is a proxy in place, and if
so enter details under the General Prefernces -> Internet dialog.
