Velma wants to know how to achieve convergence when using sqreg.

I am interested in performing sqreg on a huge data on house price transactions
and marketing duration. My problem is that the model does not seem to converge.
And I keep on getting the note "convergence not achieved" and then the results
are printed......Can someone please tell me how reliable are these results and what
can I do to overcome this problem.
-help qreg- says the option -wlsiter(#)- should improve convergence. [R] qreg should provide some backgroud on the logic behind combining quantile regression and 2sls.

A quick search of the archive shows that the convergence problem with sqreg has been previously reported without resolution. I would suggest Velma examine the iteration log (under the option -log-) before contacting the help desk at Stata Corp.
