I'm glad to hear that it worked out. The real power of Stata often comes from knowing how to avoid looping or at least avoid executing an -if- condition on a large dataset within a big loop. The -collapse- and -reshape- are also pretty useful.

Maybe you should name your next child -reshape- or -collapse-?

I'm absolutely amazed by the efficiency of this program you sent. I have underestimated the power of some of these basic Stata commands, like -reshape- and -collapse-. I'm going to ask my wife if we can name the next baby after you! Thanks so much for this help.
