st: graph/figure to illustrate survival times

Dear Statalisters:
   Is there a way to use some graph command to make a figure showing the 
times of some individuals in a survival study, lines representing the time 
span, with vertical bar (|) indicating the starting time and X indicating 
time of failure and  O the time of censoring?
   for example of a censored individual, _twoway rcapsym if id==1, 
horizontal  msymbol( | Oh)_ would do if the condition msymbol( | Oh)  and 
msymbol( | X) were allowed.
   If the mail does not distort, something like
