Permute with the save option will accomplish what I want, but, at
first glance, it appears a bit cumbersome. There are two problems with
it:

(1) To calculate the NPC statistic, I need to use this on ~30 outcome
variables, which means that there will be at least 30 separate files,
which I will need to merge (or at least reopen) to conduct the final
hypothesis test. This seems very inefficient.

(2) I wish there was a way to include the test statistic for the
actual data with the simulated test statistics in the file.
