With the -bmargin()- option, e.g.

twoway ... ,legend(ring(0) position(8) bmargin(large))

See -help legend option- for more details.

Subject: st: position of graph legend inside plot area

I have used -twoway ... ,legend(ring(0) position(8))- to position a
graph legend in the lower left corner (8 o'clock) inside the plot area.
However, in this position it is very close to both axes. Does anyone
know how to move the legend in a little farther towards the center of
the plot area, thereby putting a bit of space between it and the axes?
