To 1: The manual says no.
To 2: The manual (K-Q) page 153 lists all meta-analysis commands available in Version 9. I think that "findit meta-analysis" also summarizes all commands.

Dear Statalist members,
1. Are any of the various meta-analysis routines that have been developed by Stata users now built in to v9?
2. If not, how could I get a comprehensive list of meta-analysis routines and where to download them?

Best wishes,
Michael McCulloch
