Hello,
Have an interesting problem with merging files.
Wish to import zip codes from an excel file into stata file A.
Imported zip codes into new stata file B.
Sorted both files by studyid.
Merged file B into file A.
Works fine, except that one studyid was duplicated. _merge variable was
"3" for both copies.
Seems that the variable values in the duplicated studyid are the same.
This is interesting, as file A has 50 variables but file only the studyid
and zip codes.
Any reason for this to occur?
