You can choose a scheme that is designed for monochrome--i.e. add option scheme(s2mono) rather than the default, which assumes color output.

You can specify exactly what will happen to the lines with something like

tsline wpi ln_wpi, lpattern(dash solid)

which will cause the line patterns to change (which works for B&W), but leaves them in color since the style has not been changed. In contrast

tsline wpi ln_wpi, scheme(s2mono)

will change both the line patterns and switch to monochrome.
