dear everyone,

I use stata8.2 SE and download execute-update file from stata co. but when I use the new execute file to carry out commands such as -reshape- and -irf-, I meet the mistake of losing variable. So I use the old version to do the command -reshape-, it works well.(old version doesn't support -var- and -irf-, so I cannot check it.) who can give me a hint? and how can i correct this problem?
Sometimes people think they have updated and they really haven't; or they've only done a partial update, e.g. executable but not ado files or vice versa.

Try -update query- to make sure you really are up to date, and if not, do

update all

If it says at the end to click on -update swap- make sure you do that.
