Thanks to Kit Baum, programs -svygei- and -svyatk- are now available
from SSC:

TITLE
'SVYGEI_SVYATK': module to derive the sampling variances of
Generalized Entropy and Atkinson inequality indices when estimated from
complex survey data

DESCRIPTION/AUTHOR(S)

-svygei- and -svyatk- are programs to estimate Generalized
Entropy and Atkinson inequality indices, together with their
sampling variances. Sampling variances are calculated using a
linearization method proposed by Woodruff (JASA, 1971). The
programs may also be used to calculate sampling variances in the
case where there are i.i.d. observations.

These programs were discussed at the latest UK Stata User Group meeting.
(See the Meetings pages at the StataCorp website for copies of the
accompanying presentation.) Type -ssc whatsnew- to get some other
programs referred to in UKSUG presentations.
