I too have wondered why xtrchh (and xtrchh2) requires setting t. The RC model that it fits does nothing special with the time dimension (no AR, etc..). I have always just set a time variable and ignored it (you can create a phony one I would bet).

Hello to all the Statalisters,
I want to know if xtrchh2 can deal with non- time-series housing data? I
tried to use" tis, clear", but I always got "t<> required" after I ran the
command.
Does anybody know why?
Thanks for any help.
