I agree with Daniel. Not much you can do with Stata I think...

If you are still looking, you may also want to look at
a software called 'Spacestat' which is essentially a plugon onto Arcview and
is quite adept. I am not sure how it deals with very big matrices though.
I have reason to believe it can deal with sparse matrices quite efficiently.
