Oops, the explanation in http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2004-
11/msg00264.html contains a typo. The commands are correct though. 

if:
L(xb)= exp(xb)/(1-exp(xb))

then:
dL/d(xb)=exp(xb)/(1-exp(xb))^2

not:
dL/d(xb)=exp(xb)/(1-xb)^2
