st: GLLAM & [Pentium 4 with HT (3.06|3.20) vs. Centrino vs. Athlon 643400 (2.2GhZ)]?

Dear Statalisters

I need to buy a new notebook and I would like to know your
opinion/experience on what is the best processor(s) for running applications
like Gllamm, and in general Stata.

There was a discussion about this around the 19th of April, but it was
oriented to desktop computers.  In my case, I am interested in processors
for notebooks.

Any comments or references will be greatly appreciated.  I would also
appreciate comments related with applications like LIMDEP and Gauss.
