Of course it is possible: like any *nix system, all you need to do is use ssh or telnet to access the command line of the *nix box, and launch stata in batch mode. Fancier setups are possible, using Xwindows or VNC, that would provide the GUI. But if you're just trying to invoke a do-file job, a ssh/telnet connection will work fine.
