Followed example for simulate except to use corr2data rather than gen to
create the dataset. Imagine my chagrin when each repetition gave the same
answer! So tried corr2data from the command prompt and found it gives the
One last comment: the -drawnorm- command appears very similar to the
-corr2data- command, except that -drawnorm- is drawing a sample, i.e.
sampling variability will cause the sample estimates to differ a bit from
the population parameters you have specified. And, each time you run it,
you do get a different sample. So, maybe -drawnorm- is what you want.
