Statalisters,

In a prior message, I asked "Does anyone have Stata code for equivalence
testing? I may have a need to do some analyses using these concepts but
have discovered that the publicly available Stata code, -equim- and -equip-
(sg21, STB-17 & STB-24), has problems."

I just recalled that the -pk- package in Stata has a -pkequiv- routine.
While the Stata documentation under the -pkequiv- tab clearly says
"-pkequiv- is designed to conduct tests for bioequivalence based on data
from a crossover experiment," the documentation under -pk- states that
"these trials are usually conducted using a crossover design; however, it is
possible to use a parallel design and still draw conclusions about
equivalence."

Does this second statement (from the -pk- documentation) mean that -pkequiv-
will properly perform the analysis with a parallel design? If so, how must
the data be set up to allow this?

Any assistances and/or examples will be appreciated.
Tom Steichen
