Dear Statlisters,

I need your help to structure (set up) my data for Cox
hazard analysis. I have a three year panel data. My
objective is to look at the predictors for exit/entry
from poverty. Here is how my data look like:

                Marital  Family  Employment  Poverty

1  sept, 1996   Divorce   5      Employer   Not poor
1  Oct, 1997    Divorce   5      Employer   Not poor
1  Feb, 1999    Married   6      Employer   Not poor

3  Feb, 1999    Married   3      Out of LF  Not Poor
4  sept, 1996   Married   3      Employd    poor

I have 3 exits and 2 entries. 

I am using codes for marital status (1-4), employment
status (1-5). out of LF = Out of the labor force.
