st: table and missing review commands and variables boxes

hi

in stata 8 i cannot get the review commands box and the variables
box (with the variables in the dataset) to appear - any suggestions?

also is it possibel to produce a table with the rows to be
selevted categorical variables and the column the grouping variable
so that the table shows both the n and the column / row percentage
eg

	gr 1	gr2	grp3	total
var 1
yes
 no
total
var2
yes
no
total
etc
