Or how to export it to powerpoint?
Sheng Guo does not say which version of Stata is being used. However, in most versions, the user can use the Stata menu sequence

File->Copy Graph

to copy the graph into the clipboard, and then paste it into PowerPoint or Word.

There is more than one way to export graphs to a .pdf file. However, the -translate- command in Stata 7, or the -graph export- command in Stata 8, can create an encapsulated PostScript file, which can be converted to .pdf using GhostScript if the user has GhostScript.

I hope this helps.
