This problem has been imperfectly solved; if you webseek mlcoint you will 
find tslib: Becketti library, Stata 6 version, which deals with the 
syntactical issues Nick describes. mlcoint will work under Stata 6 if you 
discard the STB-21 version of it and all of its supporting routines and 
install the two segments of tslib in their place.
