During the production of life tables we wish to use the Ewbank et al. 4 parameter model life table system (Population Studies 37, (1983) 105-127) to smooth the mortality curves and extend the life tables up to 100 years of age.
Does anyone know of any Stata program/code to facilitate this or have any advice on how to fit this model in Stata?
