Many thanks Nick. Unfortunately I have STATA 6 and cannot use the findit
command. I have however placed in an order for STATA 7 which I hope to be
using by the end of the month. I may have to find a way of doing the
calculations manually.

Typeing -findit correlation test- turns up, among much else, -cortesti-,
-corcor- (which is part of STB-32), one or both of which should give you
what you want.
