This implies merging, and this is what -cf3- does internally. So if
-cf3- does not do what you want, you can do the same thing from first
principle by creatively using -merge-. The Stata blog posts I referred
to earlier provide lots of useful tips and tricks on how to creatively
use -merge- that can also be used in this context of comparing files
rather than combine them.
