Thanks to Kit Baum an update of the -margdistfit- package is now
available from SSC.

-margdistfit- is a post-estimation command for checking how well
distributional assumptions of a parametric regression model fit to the
data. It does so by comparing the marginal distribution implied by the
regression model to the distribution of the dependent variable. This
comparison is done through either a probability-probability plot, a
quantile-quantile plot, a hanging rootogram, or a plot of the two
cumulative density functions. For now -margdistfit- works after
-regress- and -betafit- (available from SSC). Examples can be found
here: <http://www.maartenbuis.nl/software/margdistfit.html>.

This update fixed a bug that would often lead to an error message when
the previous -regress- or -betafit- command contained factor
variables.

To install this update type in Stata -ssc install margdistfit- when
you haven't previously installed it, or -ssc install margdistfit,
replace- or -adoupdate, update- when an older version is already
present on your system.

I hope some of you will find it useful,
Maarten
