.

In the main window in Stata 12 for OS X there is a lock icon to unlock and rename variables. Why is this icon not available in the properties window in the data editor window? I can understand it being unavailable with the browse window, but the editor window? This seems an oversight (?) because you can change other variable properties (than name) in the editor.
