As David Roodman pointed out to me, the -ssc hot- command was not working for those running Stata < v.12. There is a very minor change in the Stata .dta format between v.11 and v.12, supporting business-daily data formats, but it is a change, requiring the use of -saveold- for those with Stata 12 if the datasets are to be accessed by those running earlier versions of Stata. That fix has now been applied to the file accessed by -ssc hot-.
