Dear Statalist,

I've attempted to check for cross-sectional dependence in panel-data
models using the command -xtcsd-

i do as the following

xtreg depv indv1 indv2 indv3 ...indv10, fe

then;

-xtcsd, pesaran abs-

stata gives ;
unknown function *sqrt()
r(133);

in addtion when - xtcsd, frees- is implemented

the errors are ;

-There are not enough common observations to perform Frees or Friedmand tests-

then when xtcsd, pesaran is implemented;

does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Thank you very much in advance,

M.Frank
