Parallel coordinate plots as implemented in -parplot- from SSC offer an alternative to radar/spider plots. Sometimes the radar plots do better, and vice versa.

You have to open radar.ado in a text editor. Line 22 contains this text:
version 11.0
Change this line to
version 10.0
and save the modified radar.ado, overwriting the old file. When you
run -radar- now in Stata 10 you will not see the message that you
described in your last message.
