Just as an aside: Terminology differs across disciplines, e.g.
the term "log linear model" has a completely different meaning
in sociology (think ANOVA for categorical variables). This 
may be useful information when you come across a sociologist
and you get the impression that you are talking about 
completely different models; odds are that that is exactly 
what is happening.
