Well, your last query was about words in a local macro. -findit word- leads you to -help macro-, which leads you to -help extended_fcn-, which provides

Macro extended functions for parsing

word count string

word # of string

which appear to be spot on. I don't see that it is exactly "I don't know what to search for" as much as a lack of perseverance in reading and digesting what is readily available.
