Create directories (folders) as needed in your /Library/Application Support/Stata directory. If there is not an ado directory, create such a directory with 'new folder'. Open it and create the folder 'plus'. Stata should automatically create the directories named a, b, c etc. as needed when you use 'ssc install' or 'net install.'

But when I try to download a user created ado file, such as
"lean1.scheme", I get the following error:

cannot write in directory ~/Library/Application Support/Stata/ado/ plus/s

In fact, this folder does not exist yet...but in Windows, the folder
used to be created automatically. What must I do to tell the Mac to
create this folder?
