Hello,

I have a pupil level data set (with pupil exam results and characteristics) that covers the same schools across 2 cohorts (1997 and 2002).

I would like to have and then extract, in one standard education production function, school fixed effects that can vary over the 2 cohorts. The difficulty I have is with extracting the fixed effects for each school.

Does anyone know how to do this in STATA, other than suppressing the constant and including school dummies and school dummies interacted with a time dummy?

Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.

Helen
