I can't reproduce this. I suggest you look 
at the guidelines for reporting Stata 
problem to tech support at 

http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/techsup/sendout.html

In particular, helpful details would include 
platform as reported by -about- 
and very possibly more on your hardware.
